Social Promotion of Produced Knowledge
Besides promoting production to the scientific community, IPPUR aims at outspreading knowledge to all social, governmental and non-governmental actors who are directly and indirectly engaged in the social production of urban and regional spaces. It implies acknowledging the relevance of a technical and operational production capable of contributing to enhance Urban and Regional Planning, and Public Management practices and institutions, and associated fields, in our country.
With respect to Extension Projects, courses that contribute to up-date and enhance professionals who act in governmental agencies and activities of civil society organizations stand out. These courses equally contribute to the social outspread of produced knowledge. Numerous agreements and cooperation partnerships with city halls, governmental bureaus and non-governmental organizations, activities in elementary schools and high schools, assistance to social movements, among other actions along with the civil society in the extension field also deserve to be equally mentioned.
