The Post-Graduation Program in Urban and Regional – PPGPUR (Master’s and Doctorate Degree) develops teaching, research and extension activities based on an approach supported by in-depth multidisciplinary content and emphasis on basic formation associated with a plural view of social and spatial processes, in order to qualify post-graduates for research, teaching and professional occupations.

PUR counts on more than 40 professionals in its faculty and one single concentration field, Urban and Regional Planning, in order to make sure of either an interdisciplinary approach or interaction between theoretical and analytical cut studies, and investigations focused on the intervention and guidance of public policies.

Besides offering stricto sensu courses, IPPUR/UFRJ completes the formation at post-graduation level with lato sensu and extension specialization courses. The proposition lies on specific formation, professional qualification, political and technical formation of social actors to intervene with the public debate.
